STATEMENT
Dormition Greek Orthodox Church will renew our parish for the next 100 years by:

Renovating our facilities for safety, accessibility, and updated mechanical infrastructure.

Increasing Liturgical and ministry engagement by offering welcoming activities to our parishioners.

Increasing communication and outreach service opportunities to our parishioners and community at-large.

BETTER WORSHIP
EXPERIENCE

The elevated platform will be removed in front of the altar and lower the sanctuary and iconostasis. This will elevate the Platytera icon to its proper place over, rather than behind, the iconostasis.

Improve accessibility of the Solea for Holy Communion and Sacraments.

Place the bishop’s throne at the wall underneath the column, which will increase the space available to our growing music ministry.

A marble floor, new lighting systems, and a fresh coat of paint will brighten the entire space, both visually and acoustically.

Repair cracks in walls and ceiling

The elevator tower will be constructed as a bell tower, which will contribute to a Byzantine architectural style

An elevator servicing all four of our floors will make it possible for us to invite all Dormition parishioners and guests to worship, enjoy fellowship with the community, and attend church events without hardship.
